Logmein : a new RAT

LOGMEIN is a new remote administrator tool which can access computer even it is switched off . The only drawback is that its is premium service and that technology does not provide a wide-open backdoor. There are security protocols. The user has to agree to use the technology, and like all LogMeIn remote-control products, remote access isn't possible unless the computer's owner agrees to it. And in many ways, it is similar to current remote-access products that rely on "Wake-on-LAN" packets to power up a PC so it can then be controlled remotely. The difference here is of degree.
So , it will so panic to use LOGMEIN as RAT . Anyhow what you guys were thinking i really don't know .If You like to share your opinion please comment it up .
Thanks

Hacker were using malicious softwares {limbo Torjan }

There is no drought that Open source programming is a easiest way to Steal personal ,financial and information . hacker where just inject codes in targeted websites and do the rest thing .
In my opinion that is only the reason why hacker were using malicious software like
- limbo torjan ( most common torjan in recent days ) ,
- XSS
- SQL injection ,
- Mpack Infection Kit ,
- Dream BotBuilder
etc . The all above software just change the websites and published fake information . With a recent report , Limbo torjan has used by hacker who stole almost 600 $ / month . I am fully sure but nytimes.com is also injected by this torjan .
IN that website , third party add were found malware were been found . The New
York Times' Web site is grappling with problems created by an "unauthorized
advertisement," but it is unknown how the ads managed to appear on the site and
whether the site had been compromised
said by CNET NEWS
As soon as we were made aware of the situation, we took aggressive steps,
suspending all third-party advertisements on the site
said By NYTIMES.com
so it is much clear that website is injected .
So , this has to be adviced that
- Do not put sensitive information on social networks and beware of phishing attempts on those and game sites.
- Be careful about downloading files from unknown sites and clicking on links, and don't provide unnecessary or uncommon information to sites you trust without first checking with the company.
- Beware of "vishing" (voice-over-IP phishing) attacks in which an e-mail provides a phone number to call and then prompts the caller to provide personal information
- Shield your hand when it is typing in your PIN at ATMs from anyone standing nearby and from hidden video cameras
- use firefox ,update the antivirus and firewall software and install the latest security updates for the operating system..
